MediComf’s Austin, When you need a most roomy shoe for you or swollen feet Austin provides that and more. This full soft high quality leather shoe provides a generous 6E fitting which can be increased to an 8E by removing the internal 8 mm filler and footbed creating a very wide fitting for Edema.
Austin allowed the tong of the shoe to open all, the way to the toes for easy access of slipping your feet into the shoes. The extremely wide designed tong allowed for higher arch and extreme wider foot to be accommodated by adjusting the 2 strong velcro fastening. Even if your feet swelling increases at the end of the day the variable velcro and wide to tong of the shoe allows larger fitting to be adopted.
The strong heel counter provides lateral stability and alignment for pronating feet or flat foot regardless of the swollen feet condition. The long steel shank provides firm sole and helps to stabilise the gate during walking reducing fall risks.
The seamless construction and wide toe box reduce robing providing an ideal shoe for very wide diabetic foot care, this shoe can be used even when bandages are applied on the foot as the extreme width and extended opening structure allowed accomodation of bandages on the foot.
For those who are unable to put their own shoes on and require other to aid them this shoe opened up completely to the toe area allowing easy access for fussed ankles or quick slide on with this design.
